Duke Update…

Clayton & Paege met with a surgeon at Duke today to get his analysis of the tests that had been conducted in Hickory to get a second opinion.

The Duke Dr. basically agreed with the diagnosis made in Hickory.

He did, however, recommend that following treatment they perform surgery to remove the affected Lymph nodes on the left side of the neck.

The next step involving Duke is to meet with the Duke Radiologist next Wednesday, May 7th to get their proposed ‘plan of attack’ as it pertains to treatment.

Keep checking here for updates and feel free to post your encouraging comments for Clayton & family…

Wow, you have a lot of folks praying and rooting for you, Clayton, and I am no exception. We have you on several prayer posts at our church, and especially our Cancer Support team “Dodi”. You are loved a lot, by all us friends and family, but you are “loved with an everlasting love” (Jeremiah 31:3) by our terrific Lord. Hey that pushes my buttons. Hang onto Jesus.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33

Clayton, my family is praying for you and will be here for you and your family. If anyone needs a place to stay while around the Raleigh area feel free to give us a call. God’s love is with you.

Clayton,
I haven’t seen you or spoken to you since high school, but I do remember you were a great guy back then and from reading all the comments, sounds like you continue to touch a lot of lives. I am praying for you and wishing you a speedy recovery. Cancer affects so many people. I lost my Grandfather several years ago to cancer and my Dad just finished radiation and my Grandmother is going through chemotherapy now. May God Bless You and your family.
Amy Moseley

Clayton, your illness has just about shaken the leaves right off the Family Tree. It’s hard to even imagine you being sick…but like Aunt Ginny has told me more than once over the years, “God has a plan for…(fill in a name)” As the children that we are, we may not always understand His plan for us. But, we trust that He will direct our paths through the valleys of life. Keep up the good fight; we are with you step by step-if not in person, in spirit.

May we all learn to find peace and comfort and even joy in each day that the Lord gives us.

We love you and your family very much, Clayton.

My prayers are with you and your family as you face this with God’s help. Just remember to “Be still and know that He is God”. These prayers will continue as you begin your treatment. Get well soon-we need to see you when we have Camp Board meetings.
Nancy

Clayton, Paege, Jessica and Caleb,

Chris, Connie and Cole

Clayton & Paege,
We continue to left you up in prayer. God is in everything that happens to you. He will give you the strength to endure . He leads us all on different paths. Right now, yours has taken a detour…but I know beyond a shadow of doubt that you are already on the road to recovery, and will be healthy once again. The Bible tells us to rejoice and give thanks in everything..even when cancer strikes. Not easy to do, but the Holy Spirit gives us strength do say “Thy will be done. ” We can even say thank you for this cancer, because we trust and believe in Him. Just think of what a testimony you will be for Him. I pray that you will have Christian doctors and nurses . That the doctor will know and prescribe just the right medicine and treatment needed to give you the victory. We love you so much…..you have been such a blessing .
Love, A. Ellen & U. Rob

My prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery are with you abd your family. Any brother of James is a friend of mine. Godspeed.
