Clayton is still at Catawba Valley Medical Center recovering from his case of pneumonia. The culture of the fluid came back clear of any cancer and he is undergoing a battery of antibiotics to treat it. His doctors are still concerned with his food intake and are monitoring his calorie count closely to determine if he needs to have a feeding tube put in to ensure he is gets enough nutrition. As soon as these questions are answered, he should be able to return home.

Clayton, Dad and I believe you will be empowered to eat without the assistance of a feeding tube. For sure the pain of swallowing is still there, but the motivation of family will give you the strength to begin eating again. You are not one to give up… it’s just not your style.. your spirit of determination and victory will prevail in your eating challenge and I haven’t even mentioned the faith you have that God is carrying you and will provide you with all you need to succeed. Your conquered cancer and you will conquer this eating challenge.
Your family continues, along with the large network of friends, to lift you up to God in prayers. He is there and will always be by your side. Dad and I are so thankful for all the mercy and love that He has extended to you during your illness. You are a treasure to God and deffinitely a treasure to Paege, Jessica , us and your brothers and sister.

Clayton,
Andrea and I have been praying for you and your family. Never forget that we serve an awesome God and with him all things are possible. Keep in the faith and stay strong, a lot of people that you don’t even know about are praying for you. The number of hits on this site should tell you that!
Proverbs 3:5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and not unto your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.
Stay strong,

Was great to get the call from Paege yesterday saying you were being discharged. This stumble will not slow you down much and you will be moving forward soon. I know you have heard “EAT” so much that you are growing weary from it. But….you know the sooner you start taking in that GOOD OLE HOME COOKIN the faster you will regain your strength.
For the moment we are happy you are home with Paege and Jessica and pray for daily improvement. You hang in there and I will get you a couple more shirts made up this week.
Love,
Rocky and Mama
