Oct. 7th Update

Hey All
I’m sorry for the lack of info.  I don’t know if everyone knows but I was in the hospital with phnmonia for almost two weeks.  I had to have two tubes put into my left lung for drainage.  I still have one left but I hope to get it out next week.

I had a rough week or two after I got out of the hospital.  I have had a good week or two.  I hope everything stays the same.  I’ve been lucky these last days.  Keep praying for me, please.

I hope you are all well and I hope to talk to you soon!

Clayton

  2. Good to see an up-to-date email from you! Now I know my eyes were not deceiving me: I DID SEE you at Reunion and YOU DO LOOK GREAT! It is so encouraging to know that in saying our prayers for your continued progress we actually strengthen our own relationship with our Lord. You are an inspiration to us all, Clayton, in ways that are both profound and subtle. Thank you for keeping us informed. Thank you for constantly reminding us that God answers our prayers. Love, Aunt Connie

  3. It was great to see you post an update. I have had so many people asking and were concerned since there were no recent updates. I let them know that you were beginning to have better days.

This has been both physically and mentally draining for you to cope with and the long wait for things to improve for you. The recent pnemonia set you back a couple of weeks, but things are now moving forward with everyone praying that each day you have a better day than before. The support is as large as it began months ago. You, Paege and Jessica have such a large support base asking through prayer and Gods Grace to get you through this.

We never gave up on you for one instant and God didn’t either. You are getting closer to the top of that hill and soon you will back to your ole self. Continue to take care and look forward to getting the positive and progressive reports.

    Love,
    Rocky and Barbara

  4. Hey Buddy: I just wanted to let you know that today is my birthday. For my birthday, I send you my love and prayers. I’m so glad to hear you are trying to eat and things are getting better. We really miss seeing you, especially your peanuts and company at the games. Ron hasn’t even been to one this year, because he says if you can’t come he would rather not bother. If you do think you would like to go a game this year, please don’t hesitate to give us a call and we will all go together. Even if we have to leave early it won’t matter. Hugs and Kisses. Your Buddy, Steph

  5. Clayton,

  7. Clayton I have a strong belief that you are making a comeback with improved health.. It is slow, but, we know that old saying ” slowly but surely”. It was such a joy to see you at our family reunion. The family loves you so much.. It still amazes me how much all of your cousins, Aunts and Uncles have been touched by your illness. One could literally feel the love that was there for you. Just wait until next year!!! You will be in the middle of the softball game and of course the traditional Rook tournament!!! We are so thankful that your Conover doctor visit went well with no weight loss.. Truly a blessing! The prayers are still being lifted to our loving Lord for your recovery… It’s gonna happen!!! God has alot for you to accomplish yet for Him.
It was wonderful to see you out at the farm.. They just couldn’t get that hay up without you…
Keep eating and gaining!! Our deepest love for you, Mom and Dad

  12. Clayton, it’s been a long time since we’ve heard from you with “the latest.” Please keep us in the loop so we know how to direct our prayers and share information about your progress. You may not realize HOW MANY fans you have! We all try to stay in touch to learn the new… We love you and are encouraged with every blog you send. I look forward to reading “good stuff” about you! I hope you realize the tremendous impact you have in our lives… we love you beyond measure and pray that you are comfortable RIGHT NOW, and feeling better. Sitting on the sidelines and cheering like crazy,
    Aunt Connie
